Description
Wholegrain Casareccia pasta is a short pasta shape perfect for its ability to hold sauces and condiments. In its wholegrain version, it is recommended to combine it with vegetables and oriental preparations with soy sauce, fish, and white meat sauces.
Spelt has ancient origins in history. In particular, Emmer Wheat (Triticum dicoccum), which we have selected with care and passion, was already cultivated in the 6th millennium BC in Egypt and was later imported to Italy, right on these hills, where it was grown by the Ancient Romans. Even today, as then, our emmer wheat is husked and stone-ground to preserve its flavor and nutritional qualities.
Indeed, spelt has a unique taste, different from any other pasta you have already tasted, pleasant to the palate and deep to the nose, thanks to its unmistakable hazelnut notes, making it a healthy and delicious alternative to experiment with new recipes that enhance authentic and pure-tasting raw materials. A pasta that is also good for your health thanks to its many beneficial properties: high protein content, source of digestible fibers, essential amino acids, vitamins (vitamin A, thiamine B1, riboflavin B2, and niacin B3), and minerals, such as iron, phosphorus, potassium. A pasta, of course, that is also very digestible, given its better glycemic index compared to durum wheat and a balanced value of proteins and low in fats and calories.
